Video – Hot Day In The City
I took two performances and made them into a video. It’s been a while since performing live was possible! I’m looking forward to when we can do it again.
Here is the video, hope you enjoy it:

Completely enjoyed the video.
Hi Lorrie,
Thank you so much for letting me know.
Best,
Paul
Hi,Paul,
Enjoyed Hot Day in the City, especially as we are heading into the long, cold winter! Didn’t catch all the words, but loved the mouth organ & guitar soli. Thanks
Hi Irene,
Thank you so much for letting me know. I was lucky to work with some excellent musicians on this song. I wrote it for my life-partner, for her birthday – tried to make it a little racy, but hopefully not too much!
I’d like you to hear the words so here they are:
HOT DAY IN THE CITY
Hot day in the city
Makes it hard to think (2x)
Her voice on the phone, like a cool glass a water
Makes me wanna have a drink
Bad day in the office
Seems like such a waste (2x)
Her voice on the phone, like a cool glass a water
Makes me wanna have a taste
Long wait for the train home
Makes me wanna drive (2x)
Her voice on the phone, like a cool glass a water
Makes me glad to be alive
(instrumental)
I’m walking down her driveway
And the sky is turning red (2x)
Her voice on the phone, like a cool glass a water
I’m thinking ’bout what she said
She’ll be barefoot in a sun dress
Legs crossed in a chair
Sitting by the electric fan
A cool breeze in her hair
I’m going into her house now
While the sun is sinkin’ down
and I ain’t coming back out
I won’t be coming back out
I ain’t coming back out
Till the sun comes up again.

Good luck with the long, cold winter!
I downloaded it from Youtube …
Now I might just have to buy your album,
but I’m holding out hope that you will send it for free to your old college friends as a Christmas Present. I’ll send you my address in a private E-Mail.
You might just have to go out onto the street and play until this ridiculousness passes.
Regards,
TimE.
Hi Tim,
I’ll certainly send them out to old college friends; yes, please send your address.
It will take a bit of time because I’m still finishing up the production…
If playing on the street is what it takes, so be it!
Best,
Paul
